A. Những ngôi trường đúng theo SO dùng không giống THEREFORE-So as an adverb: Cũng vậy (để ngoài lập lại ý vẫn nói):I was wrong but so were you. (so=also)-So với therefore cùng là adverb và conjunction, với lúc cùng tất cả nghĩa “bởi thế cho nên” thì dễ dàng nhầm khi dùng. Trong trường hòa hợp so làm conjunction, và therefore làm cho conjunctive adverb nối 2 mệnh đề tự do thì trước so, cần sử dụng vệt phẩy comma, trước therefore, sử dụng lốt chấm phẩy semicolon (xem phần cuối).-Trong những thí dụ sau, so khác nghĩa cùng với therefore, và cần thiết gắng bằng therefore được:.-So as an intensifier or as an emphasis: (such a degree, cho điều đó, very, khôn cùng, quá)I was so glad khổng lồ find that print that I bought copies for al my friends.The food is so good.Why are you so mad?Thank you so much.I felt so siông xã yesterday.It’s so simple that even a child can vị it. Idioms with so: And so forth (và so on), vân vân.So what? C. Therefore & so used interchangeably. Therefore is more formal. But note the semicolon used before therefore, and a comma before so:He wanted khổng lồ study late, so he drank another cup of coffee.He wanted lớn study late; therefore he drank another cup of coffee.She is ill, & so cannot come lớn the tiệc ngọt.She is ill; therefore she can’t come lớn the các buổi party.Tóm lại:Khi biểu đạt ý “do vậy đến nên”, truớc so dùng comma; trước therefore sử dụng semicolon trường hợp so tốt therefore nối hai mệnh đề chủ quyền. So giữa những tỉ dụ trên là conjunction (liên từ) còn therefore là conjunctive sầu adverb (liên trạng từ) tốt adverbial conjunction.
